Based on the record of Mr. Lorzing Original plant species in Sibolangit nature reserve between 1914-1924 include, Meranti (Shorea sp), 30 species of ficus, 20 species of Kecing (Quercus sp), Kenanga, Cinnamon, Mangosteen and Artocapus sp.
Existing bushes include Philodendron sp which is a member of the genus Anthurium family Araceae.
Other bush plants (Grandcover) are various types of ferns, taro, grass, and various types of mushrooms. In addition, other plants that can be found include various types of forest orchids, plama and areca nut.

Orchid Species: in Sibolangit Nature Reserve there are 3 types, namely: Calanthe zollingeri (terrestrial), Calanthe tripticata (terrestrial) and (epiphytes). While the orchid of that land
found in the Sibolangit Nature Reserve, most of the population is Calanthe zollingeri, Calanthe triplicata found growing on the edge of a precipice, Eulophia zollingeri found 2 times that on the edge of the highway and one individual on the path in the forest. Eulophia zollongeri orchid will not appear if the plant is not flowering, because it has no leaves and saprofit orchid. In dormant (flowerless) plants are hidden in the ground in the form of tubers. There are two variations of E. zollingeri flower found in Sibolangit is dark brown and pale white yellow. Dark brown color is found in dark and dark forests, while the pale ones are found on the rather light side of the road.
