Note Bukit Duabelas National Park is one of the lowland tropical rain forest in Jambi Province. Originally this area is a fixed production forest area, limited production forest and other use areas combined into a national park. The remaining natural forests are located in the northern part of this national park, while others are secondary forests.

This area is an odyssey of the indigenous people of Suku Anak Dalam (Orang Rimba) who have made this area as a center of culture and livelihood, where their customs and habits are still relatively intact and highly preserved.

Bukit Duabelas National Park has flat topography with bumpy twelve hills in it. namely Mount Singing, Mount Panggang (± 328 m. dpl), Bukit Kuran (± 438 m. dpl), Bukit Teregang, Bukit Punai Banyak, Bukit Suban, Bukit Suban, Bukit Benteng, Bukit Betempo, Penyeding Hill, Concrete Hill, and Bukit Enau.

The soil type in this region is pink yellow and alluvial Podsolik. This soil is nutrient-poor and contains a high degree of sensitivity to erosion.

Identification Existing plant species include bulus (Eusideroxylon zwageri), meranti (Shorea spp.), Crushing / kempas (Koompassia excelsa), jemang (Daemonorops draco), ampupu (Eucalyptus alba), bungur (Lagestromia speciosa), bayur (Pterospermum spp) bengir (cratoxylon arcecrescen), giam (Cotylelobium spp), jelutung (Dyera costulata), keruing (Dipterocarpus avendiculatus), kulim (Schorodocarpus borneensis), rengas (Gluta renghas), nyatoh (Palaquium spp), rosin (Agathis sp.), And rattan (Calamus sp.), And there are approximately 120 species of plants including fungi.

Medicinal Plants: The types of medicinal plants found in Bukit Duabelas National Park include 128 species consisting of 101 types of medicinal plants and 27 types of medicinal fungi. The types of medicinal plants have been exploited by Orang Rimba community to prevent and treat disease. Most of the medicinal plants are still classified as wild plants / not yet cultivated.

Orchid plants: No less than 41 species of orchids from 18 genera that live in Bukit Duabelas National Park, including:

Sugar Producing Tree: Jelutung Tree (Dyera costulata), tree species tapped by Orang Rimba to be taken sap (Gudang Jelutung), Styrax benzoin.

Wood-producing trees: Some of the important and rare timber trees found in Bukit Duabelas National Park include: Fragraea fragrans trees whose timber has high economic value and are widely hunted by loggers

Fruit-producing tree: Durio sp fruit tree or leaf durian in Orang Rimba is a high value nutritious plasma for the development of durian quality of Indonesia. Fruit tree Tengguli in Orang Orang Rimba or Gardenia augusta from Rubiaceae tribe. Fruit tengguli ripe has a sweet taste, like a blend of apple flavor and banana fruit.

Leaf-producing Tree For Roof: The mangosteen tree-mangosteen with the botanical name Garccinia nervosa or by Orang Rimba is called bengkal, broadleaf with yellow fruit and large seeds. The leaves of this plant is utilized by the local community for the roof of the house as a substitute of rumbia, and can survive 4-5 Years.

Palm Trees: The types of palms found in Bukit Duabelas National Park are from the clans of Calamus, Areca, Licuala, Pinanga, Orania, Oncosperma and which is one of the distinctiveness of forest flora in the region. The small palm species (Pinanga sp.nov) which is a new type of Arecaceae tribe, the highest is only up to about 80 cm, with fruit without stalks appearing in the armpit of a leaf sheath and bright red when ripe.

The Nengah Elephant palm species (according to Orang Rimba) are classified as rare in two variations of sightings, Muring Gejoh Selasih has stems of green and purple green and green Muring Gejoh Putih.

Rattan Plants: The types of rattan that live in Bukit Duabelas National Park are very diverse, such as Calamus ornatus, Calamus ciliaris, Rotan Manau (Calamus manan Miq), Daemonorops draco (jernang)
