Note The Banyak Islands Nature Parks are part of the Banyak Islands Nature Conservation Area.

The Area of Banyak Islands Nature Parks is appointed through the Letter of Decree of the Minister of Forestry Number 596 / Kpts-II / 96, dated September 16, 1996 on the Appointment of Banyak Islands of Islands along with the Sea Waters Surrounding Area of ± 227,500 Hectares, Consisting of Mainland of ± 15,000 Hectares and Marine Waters Surrounding An area of ± 212,500 Hectares located in the District of South Aceh Region II, Province of Special Region of Aceh and become a Natural Park with the Name of Natural Park of Banyak Islands.

Then in 2000, the Decree of the Minister of Forestry and Plantation No. 170 / Kpts-II / 2000 dated June 29, 2000 on the Appointment of Forest and Water Areas in the Special Province of Aceh covering an area of ± 3,549,813 Hectares.

Furthermore, the Minister of Forestry issues Decision Letter No. 941 / Menhut-II / 2013, dated December 23, 2013 on the Change of Allocation of Forest Area into Non-Forest Area of ± 42,616 Hectares, Forest Area Function Changes of ± 130,542 Hectares Area ± 26,461 Hectares in Aceh Province, there are changes to the area of Many Islands Nature Parks.

In 2014, the Minister of Forestry issued Decision Letter 865 / Menhut-II / 2014 dated 29 September 2014 on the Area of Forest and Conservation of Aceh Province waters with an area of ± 255,585.39 hectares.

The Minister of Environment and Forestry issued Decree No. 103 / MenLHK-II / 2015 dated April 2, 2015 on Amendment to Decree of the Minister of Forestry Number SK. 865 / Menhut-II / 2014 Date 29 September 2014 on Forest and Conservation Areas.

Identification In general there are Kancil, Beo Nias birds, Squirrels, Forest Boars and colorful butterflies.

Conservation of turtles on Bangkaru Island, which is the landing of Green Turtle, Leatherback Turtle and Hawksbill Turtle.

Reptile Forest Tuangku Island is very interesting and still quite intact. Crocodile Porcus (Crocodylus Porosus) occasionally appears in the waters of the river in the jungle of Tuangku Island, its size is very large rarely found elsewhere. In addition, on the island tuangku also has cave of Bat and cave of Swiftlet Nest.
